  1. Due Process states that an individual has rights to protect them from the government. The government has to follow rules and procedures so people aren't treated unfairly or be deprived of their rights. This means that a person can not be unreasonably prosecuted by the government. Like going to jail without a trial. It is important to learn about your rights so people will be treated fairly and to know their options so they won't be deprived of life, liberty or property.

  2. Due process means the fairness of our rights! The government has to follow the rules of everthing! Like a trial. If someone is accused of killing someone, the government has to go through all the legal actions to prosecute the criminal. Due process has to deal with our liberty and property too. So if someone comes in to your house and do harm, can you shot them. I don't think you can kill them, but I'm pretty sure you can shot them in the legs or something (flesh wounds). If the guy tries to press charges on you for shooting him. I'm pretty sure you can throw the self defiance due process card! The government can deprive the people life, liberty and property............

It's important to know this so the goverenment doesnt abuse it power. Example would be skipping a part of the trial or sending a person to jail without a trial.
